IARU REGION 1 CONFERENCE LILLEHAMMER NORWAY 19 - 24 SEPTEMBER 1999

The Conference Schedule and several new and revised papers have
been received from the IARU Region 1 Secretariat.
A summary of the Schedule and the papers will be published as
an update in NRRL's web-page, address:

An abstract of the summary follows:
The Conference Schedule
The official opening of the Conference takes place Sunday 19
September at 10 a.m.
During the Conference there will be meetings of the Permanant
Working Groups (ARDF, STARS, HF-CSG, IARUMS, EMC and EUROCOM),
the Committees C1, C2, C3, C4 and C5 and three Plenary Meetings.
Receptions: Sunday for invited guests and Head of Delegations hosted
by IARU Region 1. For one hour Monday evening hosted by
IARU President Larry Price, W4RA. Wednesday evening in the Olympic
Museum hosted by the Mayor of Lillehammer and the Govenor of the
Oppland County. Thursday is the day for the sightseeing-trip.
Committee C3:
The Secretary ad interim's report. In this report he pays tribute
to the Office Manager Audrey Jefcoat for her work. He endorses
the virtue of an independent Secretariat.
There are revisions of doc C3.7 and 3.16 and appendices to C3.9.
Report of the Chairman/Co-ordinator of the following Working
Groups are submitted:
HST (High Speed Telegraphy)(doc C3.8), IPHA (Information Programme
for Handicapped Radio Amateurs (doc C3.13) and STARS (Supporting
The Amateur Radio Service) (doc C3.14).
ARRSM (San Marino) offers to host the IARU Region 1 Conference
in 2002.
4 resolutions of the AC are submitted for consideration and
adoption.
