Hi,

I am not going to repeat the content of Fritz DL6FC Bull - please read it!

Based on Fritz's message and my own knowledge I make the following
comments which are my own opinion.

I agree that the plans laid in Germany are bad news. There is a
fundamental principle at stake here, however, it is a chicken and egg
dilemma.

The specifications for some life supporting equipment like pacemakers have
been set at a level which is less than fields generated by many radio
stations - commercial as well as ham.

IF authorities go ahead and set RF safety limits based on poorly written
specifications of other equipment, then radio stations will need to spend
large amounts of money OR close down (unless they are lucky enough to have
a station in a large amount of private land).

We must resist any regulation based on this false premise!

I invite Authorities to contact me - I have a large amount of information
on this subject. Even though I am QTH withheld - Authorities can obtain my
details through the UK.

Radio transmitters have been around far longer than any other form of
electronics! (Well almost).

It is imperative that we should insist that, in general, other equipment
must withstand the fields that Radio Transmitters create. We must not
accept regulation that restricts the transmitted field strength to levels
that are "safe" for other electronics. Why should radio transmitters pay
for the failing of other manufacturers to desing products suitable for the
real world????

There is a need for unified action in EU to prevent a very serious
situation arising.

If you don't yet understand the potential of the problem - then do some
self training in radio telegraphy - including safety aspects and EMC -
THEN you will understand either, the problem OR how convoluted the
argument will get. In either instance it is necessary to keep this
discussion on a very high level and bring it to the Authorities attention
AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
