Oh yes! I have heard of that happening, safety matches or not.
"Tagged out" is baseball or softball term. Cricket term is "run out" or
"stumped". I guess it made a good story!
Try this to prove the point about safety matches. First put on some ear
and eye protection - muffs and goggles. Make a hole in the top of a post -
1/8 inch or so in diameter and fill with the heads of safety matches, not
too many unless you want a visit from the police. Put a screw into the
hole and hit with a hammer. Assure those who come running that all is well
and you have escaped injury. Take off ear muffs, and smile to yourself.
You have proved something!!! And the cat and dog have run for cover under
the bed in the main bedroom!
