Please can anyone help. I am trying to find a handheld RS232 Dumb Terminal with a qwerty keyboard so that I can build it into the inside of the glove compartment of my 1968 Morris Minor Car. It has to have a small display, qwerty keyboard and low voltage DC operation or battery. 9 pin or 25pin rs232 connector with 1200baud or 9600baud.
I am not sure if a Psion 3 series would be suitable as I have not owned one. Does any know if they have software built in for terminal modes and do they have an rs232 port.
Other hand held devices may be suitable.
Many years ago Dumb Hand Held Terminals were used for a variety of applications and due to them being old technology most people have thrown them away. Someone must have something suitable. Yes I have tried a Laptop but hard drives cannot cope with vibrationa and have limited funds for buying a notebook.
