Well I thought I was proof against scams plenty of which exist on the
Internet. Some people make a very good living creating them and raking in
the money. However I got caught myself on one that seemed to be genuine.
OK, laugh, but this one was a little out of the usual track.
I have refused many millions of dollars I have won in lotteries I have
never entered, and refused to help the poor little ole lady dying of
cancer in an African country whose ole man left her $35 million which she
wants to get out of the country (the good Lord bless you if you will help
me). For helping me by putting it into your bank account you may have $10
million for yourself... OK you have seen them all!
I was looking for information on the OZ copyright laws which were updated
in 2006. I ploughed through megabytes of legal jargon and then saw a para
offering legal advice on any matter Australian - four lawyers on line,
ask your question and the answer will be back in a very short while -
maybe 5 or 6 minutes. I asked my question and then should have been
suspicious as they asked for $27 to pay the lawyer. OK $27 is not much and
I need the advice. I paid up, and yes, you guessed it, a message quoted
below which has been sitting there for ever.
I still am waiting for my question to be answered. I just sent another
without paying this time. "Are you another scam? Where is the answer to my
question?" That sent me to the waiting room again. I don't expect an
answer to that one either. BTW Warren, the site turned out to be in the
good ole USA!!!
