Hi,
Years ago I had the TS830s.
It developed that irritating intermittent display and also breaking up my
transmissions.
I took it to experienced hams and the advise was that it is has dry joints
on a particulor board. He tried to fix some but also told me it would get
worse.
I wrote to the manufactures and reply was take it to my dealer. And they
told me several boards have dry joints and cannot fix it at a reasonable
cost.
One day I accidently dropped that rig ( quite heavy isn't it) and the
insurance paid me enough to purchase another rig.
Hope this may give you an idea what can happen if you have the same
troubles.
Regards
Frank
