Hello specifically to ZL3ABS, Michael and any other readers.

Thanks you for your response to my posting. I got the clue about the "QRO
modification" and the similar effects caused by it from one of those
internet sites along with a lot of other TS 830 service issues. But there
was nothing shown about how to fix it! Anyway, I will have another go as
you suggest when I can first see what responses packet radio brings forth.

I do know that a few years ago I would probably have got more sense from
the packet users from actual experience than any internet user groups. I
gave up the latter in most cases and the packet system provided sensible
and valuable information. I am hoping it still will as I know that the
technical standards are far superior.

Than you however for your response Michael. Cheers and
73 - GORDON, VK3XX @ VK3API.#MEL.VIC.AUS.OC
