Hi,
Last Year I sent out a request for help on this problem that we were having
on running the local DXCluster (GB7NHR).
The info sent by many helped sort out the problem. Thanks go especially
to Trev M1CUK and Andy GM7HUD.
We changed to a different phone line - problem still there.
We changed ISP - problem still there.
We got a Static IP address - made matters worse - got barred from DynDns
for constantly updating the DNS server - and temporarily lost the use of
the Domain Name.
It then became obvious what the problem was - the Router was constantly
resetting itself.
Changed the router and everything now working sweetly.
We are now paying a fraction of what we were for our internet access,
9.99 UKP per month and have static IP address and got DYNDNS working again.
PlusNet seems to be working ok as our new ISP.
GB7NHR, the DXCluster concerned, can be accessed by Telnet :-
gb7nhr.shacknet.nu on port 7300.
It took a while sorting out what was going on as GB7NHR is at the local
radio club and I usually only go there once or twice a week.
I learned a lot in sorting out the problems.
Thanks again for all that offered help.
73, Pete G6KUI
