I have both Broadband and Winpack, without noticing any such problems. I
wonder if you are using a broadband modem which (like one of those dial up
modems) is in part softare based and using your PC's resources? Do other
applications slow down when you are connected to Broadband?
As said, mine runs fine, but I use mine via a proper broadband modem/router,
using wireless access to the router.
