Hello Bob & others,
The photo sensitive glasses that I have had for a few months go dark
quite quicky and lighten up just as fast.
I asked about this before I ordered them and the optitison told me that
they had speeded them up considerably in recent years.
A friend of mine had them many years ago and was driving on the coast road
between Italy and the Monaco where you go through a lot of short tunnels and
short bridges.
Her glasses got out of phase and were dark in the tunnel and clear on the
bridges.
Also they do not darken up when in the car as the windscreen glass filters
the UV so I find I still need my clipons. Another problem I find is that they
do not darken up as much when I wear a hat as the brim shades the glasses.
I wear an Akubra hat in those circumstances.
For other than Bob, an Akubra hat is like the hat worn by Crocadile Dundee.
