I know of a 75 yr old who has had cataracts removed.
One eye done, wait 6 months and then the other.
If you wear spectacle's you'll need a new pair afterwards, and you have
to wait about a year (once both eyes are done and "settled in") before
it's safe to get new spectacles.
That year of messing aboout will no doubt seem like a long one.
