Hello all

I have a technical problem that is affecting my packet operating. Not your
usual equipment problem, but one of instrumentation :-)!

I have been told that I have cataracts developing in both eyes. I have just
consulted an opthalmologist who has done some temporary surgery that has
left me with two black eyes, and still with the cataracts; he tells me that
there is some risk in attempting to remove the cataracts.

I would appreciate any advice from those who have, or have had a similar
problem. I now have trouble reading normal print, and in seeing pcb tracks,
surface mount size components, and even lining up a fine-tip soldering iron
with 1/2mm solder!

The question is, can cataracts be removed from 80 year-old eyes. Has anyone
experienced this fault?

73. Dick. VK3ABK.
