Hi and thanks for reading.
Since my pre Xmas problems were not resolved I Re Installed my XP-PRO.
Trouble is I have only a Dial-up Modem so reluctant to want to go down that
road to often and with the Words of Andy GM7HUD Ringing in my ear, I do not
wish to look like a complet idiot.
So I made a Backup and a ghost copy at each stage of events and all was
looking good until the latest round.
Shutting down now gives me: XPCOM-EventReceiver -- is not responding.
Now as this has also apeared on my second PC with only 2 updates installed ?
First for AVG Free and second for Firefox this very evening.
I am wondering just what it is about and what if anything can I do or do I
need to do ?
Both PC's run XP-PRO with AVG free, Spysweeper and Sygate Personal Firewall.
The second PC did not have this problem until tonight and I only went on line
to update AVG but got a notice of the update for Firefox so I presume one or
other is causing the above problem ?
Anyone got any ideas or solutions please ? Andy ? What is it OM ?
