hi! and thanks for reading my Plea for Help down-loading Progs from the
Inet sites.
I am running Windows98se, IE6, with AVG,SpyBot1.4,& Ad-aware6.0.
My server is Freeserve.
Example, I tried to d/load the update for SpyBot after reading about it in
a Magazine, which said go to www.computeractive.co.uk/2128856
I clicked on the Free d/load button & my Screen filled up with a load of
what I called Gobbly Gooks i/e a load of figures,letters, numbers, &
symbols might have been a bit like html ??.
At the end of its d/load it said Done at the bottom of the Screen, but No
drop down window asking where to save it , like it should do normally?.
I had the same problem trying to d/load Quinion Spell Checker Prog.
2 kind chaps emailed me the 2 Progs which I installed & work OK.
I have reinstalled IE6 but get the same results. HELP Please any Ideas on
my Problem & how to Fix it.
