Hi Clive and readers,

"We" went through this at least once before and nobody could answer why
Winpack won't scroll with a scroll mouse. Everything else seems to but
not Winpack for some odd reason although I haven't tried it with my
backup program Windows Terminal extracted from a V3.11 installation disc.

Of course "WinExplorer does scroll without a driver", now just where do
you think the mouse driver is anyway? Drivers are to be found in the
driver cache, a directory in Windows and nowhere else. If your mouse
works properly with any program it works with all (or should except for
that mysterious Winpack). Then of course you must have the proper driver
"installed" or it won't load with the OS, it just sits in the cache doing
nothing. It's all in the initial setup when you install the OS, printers,
scanners and such require you to install their drivers if they're not
already in the cache but that's another story.
