The reason I only post infrequently on these newsgroups is the same one that
is causing our great hobby to die out. I have been a ham for 17 years, and
during that time I met many great people, but unfortunately, it is the
"mouthy minority" who insist on putting in their uninformed opinions that
makes us all look bad. Seek professional help. Find out why you think that
"rolling your own" makes you superior, knowledgeable, or even qualified to
make your statement. I spent many an hour making other ham's "roll your own"
equipment operate. This does not make them stupid, as you infer that I am.
If you haven't got anything constructive to say, then don't say anything. I
asked for help - not snide remarks. Get a life.

I don't suggest that his area of interest is somehow wrong, I only agree
with the advice that he should invite someone with more insight in this
matter to fix it for him. I don't understand how this can be considered
bad advice.

Once you have studied a simple schematic for keying a transmitter, and have
soldered the few parts together, you usually know enough about it to know
the limitations of the design, and what to do when the transmitter does not
key or remains keyed all the time.

Same for the connection of soundcard output to a transmitter.

When someone considers it easier to buy a blackbox to perform these tasks
and does not understand why it does not work, it is very difficult to
diagnose the situation from a remote location and provide him with advise
that would help him towards a working station. Someone should do some
simple conductivity and level tests at his station, and deduce what is
wrong.

Simple - The supplied manual has a pinout that differs from my rig. The
version 2 manual on the supplied software shows a second, and the website
shows a third version. None of them seem to work. At first my soundcard
input connector was bad (I fixed it, so now I have a spare). Following the
manual doesn't produce any positive results, therefore I am inquiring if I
am mis-reading the manual. I have received a response from Rigblaster and
they are baffled as well. I was hoping to find someone who has encountered
this problem and would offer a solution. I have received a few great
responses, and they were greatly appreciated.
