old days talkies gives them added value.
But once you've seen power and antennas, those products
seem silly to use outside their intended market.
Buy one, they are fun, and are great for families with kids,
for vacations, and many other uses. Using them outside
their design market is both illegal, and without technical merit.

????????????????
I'm talking about MURS, man. Crimany - It seems that all hams know how
to do is argue - even when they don't even know what they are talking
about.
Besides the ability to do business and have unrestricted access to the
Intenet, this is another GOOD reason NOT to use ham radio for digital
communications.
Get educated about the subject before you open your yap to argue.

MURS man. Haven't you heard?

Man, you HAVEN'T heard. MURS is going to be a reality.

If you don't like it - cry to the FCC. I doubt if you'll have any luck
going up against Radio Shack and Motorola. As for me - I'm looking at
ways to take advantage of it.

Subject: SSTV & BP2-M
I ordered the BP2-M today from Tigertronics as an upgrade to my BP-1
which I have had years of success with on Packet.
I noticed as one of the features of the BP2-M is SSTV. I have read over
the years about Slow Scan but never felt ready to make the plunge into
it.
Has anyone used the BP2-M for SSTV and what kind of results have u had?
Thanks in advance.
