I thought you were talking about the amateur channels on 2m - as 145.01-.09 -
5
consecutive digital channels. Mentioning how "quiet" the amateur allocation
is
threw me ... and if it is so quiet where you are, then why do you need to get
away from it all by using another [proposed] service?

When one writes a paragraph, a reader usually expects the text to follow a
logical flow and not be a non-sequitur.

MURS is not a reality until it is actually enacted. For now, it's just a
proposal.

Then, what was your purpose in discussing inactivity on the 2m amateur band?

1) Why do I need to cry to the FCC about an underutilized allocation that IS
available to me? I would simply use it if I had a need.

2) Why do I need to justify the design and sale of equipment destined for use
on a set of frequencies that had no legal or licensed users? Their design and
sale irregularities are their problem, not mine.
