Yea, I hear you guys all the time with your push button robot recordings:
"CQ CONTEST!" "CQ DX!" "YOU'RE 59!" "OUTA MY WAY!"

Bullshit weenie, none of that is transmitted on Packet.

Can't get a cable modem or DSL connection, eh?

Don't worry, we will be able to help y'all out quite soon.

BTW, the "cable guy" shows up Monday, and my Rohn HBX48 arrives Friday -
I already started digging the hole.

I'm researching buying a mid-range Digital Camera to track my progress -
 I think I'm gonna get a Fuji MX-600.

Laura:

Young lady, making a simple spark gap and a crystal radio receiver to send
and transmit CW signals only needs a few items that one can pick up from the
local hardware store or garbage dump. Wire, a toilet roll or two a homemade
capacitor, from wax paper and tin, a battery for the transmitter, a spark
plug or, a piece of galena crystal or a simple discarded razor blade, etc...

It needs no transistors least of all chips holding 5 - 10 million
transistors!

Now I don't advocate doing that as a general means of operating
communications systems [Myself, I run stuff like FT-1000's with PTC digital
modems, etc... ], but the actual ingredients needed for simple but powerful
digital communications are indeed simple.

One might ask how much the addition of 10 million transistors has really
bought us?
