I want to find BASIC programs for ham radio use. I need these in text
form, for input into Chipmink Basic for Macintosh. Anyone know any
websites that may have some of these? Thanks.

OK, but what do you want these programs to do?

Try www.qrz.com I know they have a bunch of shareware. Not sure if it is what
you are looking for or not.

Chipmunk BASIC used to come with several ham-related samples, but I've
noticed that newer versions have omitted most of these (still includes
one or two). You might be able to find an older version somewhere on
the internet that still has them.

There once was an excellent site like this in Germany. It had about
three dozen ham-related programs, nearly all written in Chipmunk BASIC
(complete with the text for you to modify). Sadly, the web site
designer announced one day that the site was moving, with a notice that
the new address would be announced soon. The new address was never
announced, and eventually the site disappeared completely.

I wish I could offer you more, but I'm not aware of any site available
today that has what you're looking for.

I once had a font management shareware program. I, unfortunately,
paid for it before I found a fatal flaw. It would abort on this one,
otherwise fine font.

I sent the offending font file along with the instructions on how to
cause the fault to the author.

He refused to acknowledge that his program would ever fail. He NEVER
TESTED the program with this font and never reproduced the failure.

He refused to refund the money. I had to stop using the program
because it did this on several fonts and left fonts installed in a way
that confused WIndows.

I forget the name now, it has been a while. FontMaster or
FontManager. It was horrible and I was stuck with CRAP!

The amateur programmers often don't know
how to set the parameters for compiling.

You have to use the same font size then,
which was used during compile.

a most common shareware software bullshit problem.

Never pay in advance.

So what ? Look at all the flaws in the Microsoft stuff. Biggest
softwear company and even they can not get it all to work all the time
in every case.
