The MOST IMPORTANT point is to get all the suggestions FIRST.

When you're ready to go, thank them for their suggestions, tell
them how it's going to be done because it's YOUR mast and YOUR
responsibility and YOU are in charge.

I've noticed problems going directly to this page from link above... Try
going here first...

http://evenprime.homepage.com/mead.htm

then scroll down to Spock photo, and go to the link there. I'm trying
to get this right, because it is a real gem.

It's from the original series episode "Plato's Stepchildren," and has
NOTHING to do with HF.

First season. This episode also contained TV's first interacial
kiss(Kirk-Uhura).

Sure it has something to do with HF. He is warning older guys that
young lads in their "velvet prime" will come and drink all the best
from their "finest kegs" and leave them with "bitter dregs"(HF).

Your correct Roger, however we must remember that the average
ham is so far disconnected from normal mainstream society, that
something as inane as linking this diddy from S.T. to HF is humorous
to him. Case in point, now that it's getting warm outside start looking
around you at some of the people at the next hamfest you attend.
You'll never see such an oddball bunch at any other place, even train
and railroad shows. I'll never forget one guy I saw last year at Dayton.
Guy was wearin striped short pants, argyle socks and penny loafer
shoes. This was topped off with a golf shirt that looked as if it lhad last
saw the inside of a washing machine in 1992. Did I mention his Pith-hat
with the rubber duckie antenna *glued* on the side? What a bunch of
freaks, geeks and commensurate goofballs!

And some of them are among the finest folks in the world. And I am
