Heard a very interesting "signal" today on 6. Right around
50.200. (It was drifting around near 50.202.300 - 50.202.380)
It was like a CW carrier that was shifting in frequency about
25Hz every quarter of a second, and that's all she wrote.
It continued like this, drifting in frequency quite a bit, for
from about 1800UTC (when I turned on the radio) until present
(1816 UTC) not sure how long it will last, but I've got to get
going pretty quick. I would think that its just a birdie, but
I've never heard this type of noise in the receiver before. No
movement on the s-meter whatsoever, solid 0 the whole time, even
when I could detect QSB aurally.
Anybody else hear this? The station is located in EN57rc, in
the UP of michigan...
Not much around here, so if anybody else heard it, I would feel
more intrigue, and be motivated to follow up on this further...

Probably a computer or similar electronic device in your house
or nearby is generating this QRM.

Subject: 6-meter signal?
My computer was originally what I thought the problem was, however-
1. I can hear it on multiple radios in multiple locales.
2. It has since changed.
3. There are patterns to it.
When I returned, there was, on the exact frequency, another signal
same shift, but much faster switching. It was transmitting now, not
in a continuous 0-1-0-1-0-1 pattern, but instead a different pattern:
00111010 00110010 repeat, repeat, etc. Always these two bytes.
Then the signal went to a dead carrier for about 2 minutes, dropped
entirely for 30 seconds, and back to dead carrier. I was noticing
much less drift in frequency the second time, at least until the
dead-on carrier started back up.
I'm going to talk to some others who live in adjacent cities, and
ask if they are experiencing anything similar, and hopefully
will have some sort of inkling as to whats going on again tonight.
