Subject: KAM CONTROLLER SOFTWARE

Just acquired a KAM ALL MODE interface.
The manual lists the unit as a KAM, KPC-4, KPC-2400, KPC-2, KPC-1
Nort really sure which model it is.
Unit is marked KAM ALL MODE on front panel.
It works great!
I want to locate software that will allow me to have a MAILBOX simular
to PC PACKRATT on the PK232.
Prefer software that is shareware, not commercial software.
Any help would be appreciated.

Howard,

Since CSS owns the PakRatt source code, you might want to look at our
Pacterm '98 product. You can download the demo at
http://www.cssincorp.com/pacterm The program works with Windows 95/98/NT and
2000

Also other programs for the KAM include XPWin by Gary Johnson and KA-Win by
Stan Hutting. Both are good 16 bit control programs.

For Dos you have Hostmaster from Kantronics and KA-Gold from Interflex.
Again both are good programs for DOS.

If you've got a KAM all mode, you have the standard KAM, unless it has been
upgraded with the daughterboard and firmware. Keep in mind to run most of
the above programs, the Kam requires version 7.0 firmware and above. If you
dont have this, then you can get it from Kantronics.
