Is there an aprs program for the HP-49/49 calculators. These
calculators have
serial ports and would make great low cost/low power text terminals.

Hi gang,
I couldn't bring myself to just toss this out. It's a fixer up because the
power LED is the only one that lights and it refuses to talk to the PC. See
it at:

Thanks.

Subject: Linux Packet program
Hi All:
Can anyone reccommend a packet terminal program that will run under
Linux? While web searching I found some programs that seem to enable
networking features via packet, but I don't believe that these are what I'm
looking for. I'm just looking for a program that will interface to my TNC.
Thanks for any help,

Minicom will handle the basic stuff. If you want to get a lot of
features, take a look at TNT. You should also check
http://radio.linux.org.au, which has quite a collection.

Thanks. I haven't updated my firmware since it was purchased back in about
1996, so could that perhaps be a problem I haven't considered? Actually, I
like
the little box the way I got it, and since I don't have exotic uses it has
served me well. I never did pop for the DSP upgrade either, figuring that I
had
gone down that path too often with my PK-232s for very little net satisfaction
for my needs. Yes, I know...DSP is supposed to be different and maybe it is,
but I have made do without it so long now...

Tons of activity!
A great deal of that "linking between nodes" is tcp/ip between
individual stations. Put something on air on any frequency you
hear activity, connect to any bbs, send me a message
(w0rli@w0rli.or.usa.noam), and I'll ship you the basic info
about tcp/ip in the Portland/Vancouver/Eugene area.
