Subject: Best software for AEA Pakratt 232 mbx
Hello ham's,
Recently I have had purchased AEA Pakratt 232 model: PK232mbx for digital
modes.
Would someone please advise me, where I can get free software for terminal
emulation for use on RTTY, packet 1200 baud's as passive dx-cluster, etc...
I will use the 232 with Kenwood TS850SAT, Dentron Amp. MLA 2500B, and
variety
of Vertical ant, Zepp etc..
Thanks in advance, Happy Y2K Merry Christmas and see you on the bands.
Opps, the PC will be 486 DX 66 with Philips monitor 15".
Please respond to NG or my e-mail directly: fortra@siol.net

Gentlemen,=20
=20
What I want to do in my club is to make a small network. A "server" =
should be DosFBB515c on an old 286 computer having Baycom USCC card with =
two modems on board. It works now as a standalone bbs with TFPCX driver =
in -dr(si) mode and PORT.SYS with DRSI interface. A "client" should be =
another 286 that has Baycom Terminal 160 installed (capable of KISS =
interface).=20
=20
I want my club members to "connect" FBB from the client computer in a =
way they would use radio connection.=20
=20
Both computers have COM ports and I made 3-wire cable to link them (TX =
and RX crossed + Ground). Before that, I tested COM ports with the MSD =
and it told that COM's on server are 2400 baud, data 8, UART 16550AF. =
COM's on client are 1200 baud, data 5, UART 8250. Other params are the =
same on both ends.
=20
I was suggested to try Flexnet as the networking solution. Well I load:
=20
LH FLEXNET
LH USCC /i=3D5 (because default value is 7 and what about LPT1 at =
IRQ7?)
FLEX
TFEMU (here I don't know if it is needed to have: -i=3D5 or what =
else IRQ?)
and FBB with PORT.SYS in TFPCX interface.=20
It doesn't boot USCC at all. Seems that USCC card has been found after =
LH USCC and there appear an info about USCC chanells after FLEX. So far =
so good.
Well, at first I tried go back and test TFPCX in its "normal" (not =
"drsi") mode and PORT.SYS with TFPCX interface. It doesn't work too.
Next, I tried to use BPQ with USCC settings (worked great with kiss-TNC =
earlier) and PORT.SYS with BPQ interface. It doesn't work.
One more time, I tried Flexnet modules, this time TFEMU in DRSI mode and =
PORT.SYS with DRSI interface. It doesn't work.
Wonder if somebody has DosFBB515c + Flexnet + USCC running properly? And =
to have wire link to another computer as a "client". I suppose to need =
here:
LH KISS <portnum>
FSET MODE <chanellnum> <speed>
on both ends of such 3-wire link. Any experience with?
