Subject: Icom IC-PCR1000 RS-232 control protocol for sale
Hello forum,
I am radio fan and program investigator.
I have extracted full control protocol for handling
IC-PCR1000 digital receiver via RS-232 or COM.
It makes possible to write your own software (using any program language)
with more flexible features,(handling many receivers from one PC,quck scanning
over known frequencies lists,etc.).
Please email me to: d673091@yahoo.com for prices and demo.

Subject: KAM/Hostmaster/Pactor Mode
Hi,
Looking for help with the Kantronics KAM and HostMaster software.
I use the KAM updated through firmware Version 8.2E and HostMaster II
Plus Version 3.1 (1992).
This combination of versions makes Pactor mode inaccessible from
Hostmaster ('grayed-out' on Menu #2, PACTOR LISTEN and PACTOR STANDBY).
HostMaster operated on Pactor fine with an older KAM firmware version
but not the current version.
Any ideas in solving this problem? Contact me at:

No, it did establish a standard to judge such things by, though. At no time
have I seen other modes "pushed off the air" by HF Packet, even when there
was considerably more competition for digital bandspace than there is now.
In fact, Packet has lost a good deal of what was at one time it's exclusive
territory, due to the simple fact that most Hams are moving on to more
modern stuff.

It's highly doubtful that we would have seen the progress we have without
it. HF Packet established a base of HF digital enthusiasts that would not
have been there otherwise.

You must not spend much time on the air. I hear HF Packet activity just
about anywhere there is activity at all. This is probably due to the
existence of thousands of HF Packet - capable stations out there. There's
bound to be at least a couple of them out there, at any given time.

The new stuff is better, of course. It would be pretty funny if it wasn't!

Yes, an old version of LOGGER can be found at www.qsl.net/ve1cbf.
The current version is 6.12.
I have found that www.itis.net/golist always seems to have the most current
version.
