Hello and thanks for downloading my plea for assistance.

I have a couple of Twinhead P88T D233 laptops both have intermittent
LCD display. Where the backlight tube appears to fail. The the laptop
screen is knocked or moved. Switching the power off and on, would normally
kick it back into life.

One of the machines not used for a week. The backlight fails to come up,
though when I connect an external VDU to the external port. Allowing me to
check that the 'soft key's are set to both the laptop and external display.
the laptop display still does not have the backlight on.

What I want to know. What is the 'secret' method to open up the case.

I have so far locate 5 screws. Though I expect there are some hidden tags.

I have spend a fair bit of time searching the Internet using various search
engines for clues with out results. Seen similar pleas for help.. No
answers.

Wonder what Packet Wireless can come up with.

Do you accept the challenge.

Looking forward to any tips.. how to get my hands on the lcd inverter board
inside the laptop.
Even better a PDF version of the service manual
