Just a thought, it may be that some people are running at lower temps
because they are using the standard cooling kits that either come with
the CPU or a cheap cooler.

These tend to make as much noise as a Boeing 747 taking-off, but from
what I've seen (and heard), they tend to do the job. Obviously some of us
have radios not far from PCs, and do not want the intrustion of noise
whilst "working the DX".

Not to mention the RF problems with those switch-mode PSUs  ;-)

Well there's certainly been some activity on this subject, nice to see
a flurry of bulletins from around the World. Thanks to everyone who
has contributed something over the last few days.
