It certainly used to produce that error, but didn't that come from the
BIOS rather than DOS?
It was a generalised error which could include the video card, RAM, HDD
and even the floppy. I seem to recall there was even one which produced
a spurious complaint about not finding Basic in EPROM, long after Basic
stopped being included in EPROM in a PC.
