Hello Andy,
What a strange keyboard the UK one is! The standard US keyboard is laid 
out exactly as on an electric typewriter, that is with CR, backspace and 
such not found on the old manuals.

The exceptions are control keys astride the space bar and the one above 
the CR key which has a lower case backslash and upper case broken 
vertical bar I dare not transmit or it will raise hob being a 
streamswitch control character in some TNCs.

Many of the symbols (shift up) on the numerical keys are control 
characters in Unix, so they may play hob with some systems also.

Some systems attempt to translate ASCII control characters, so mind that 
keyboard. (;->)

Just some more reasons why I call these idiot boxes "confusers".
