Hi Ian and all,

That sign has been posted conspicuously in buses here for ages, safety
first. As for chatting on commercial 2-Way it's business, not CB so you
don't choke the channel with mindless chatter, you're out there to make
money. Oh, one thing I didn't realize until recently it's against FCC
rules, the "recently" came when I read an article about a police
department getting fined for tieing up an interoperability frequency and
other agencies complaied.

The story of the startled ham reminded me of my driving habits, it's
nearly impossible to have a chat while driving a stick shift except out
on the open road so mostly I would just listen. Just as well, things
could get sticky in traffic, sticky with blood.

"It was just a thought and I've made my point."
I heard of filing thoughts but I always figured it meant for future
reference, yours must be pointed.
(An absoulutely horrible play on words.)
