Hi Barry,

Yes, Tanfield Road, Croydon, Greater London does exist. At least it did when
my A to Z of Greater London was published some years back.

Interestingly, we get similar lottery mail from other countries (it's never
from your own enabling you to easily knock on their door) like Canada, Germany
and Nederlands.

In theory they are illegal as a lottery in the UK has to be licensed and these
are not. So they can take your money and scarper if you're daft enough to fall
for it.
