Hello. I have owned a Radio shack htx-212 for 10 years. this unit has
performed very well over the past decade but yesterday, very suddenly,
it started making a loud roaring noise on transmit and recieve.
it is so loud it will just about cover up recieve audio at 20 over,
and on transmit it is present on tx modulation. funny thing is i also
own a htx-202 handheld and last year it did the same thing. i
thought it was dead so i put it in storage for a year. when i brought it out the
problem was gone. has anyone else had this problem with RAT-shack
radios? do you know what the problem could be?
