Hi Ian and anyone interested,

It's fine to be a geek (Greek) as long as they don't mess with the
language. I have always been a nerd, that started before the meaning of
geek became so variable. I never made up words, always put things in
plain, easy to understand terms and facinated the kids in science class
whenever the teacher let me take the lead. Now how could I have kept them
interested speaking a language they couldn't understand? I'll bet kids
today have no idea how the word geek originated or the changes it went
through never having seen a circus geek or heard Fred Blasse (sp?) call
his wrestling opponent a pencil neck geek.

Hey, you typed "nitty gritty" and I'm gonna TELL on you! Funny I didn't
see The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band on the BBC banned list I have around here
somewhere. Yeah, that stuff is over the top, you never know when the PC
Police are going to break down your door and carry you away kicking and
screaming. Anyone so easily offended should start a colony on some desert
island with no outside communications. Then they all can either spend
their time reinventing language or fighting about it. In case of the
latter I'll be happy to shoot the last one standing.

Hmmm, thinking about Greek consider yourself lucky if it's not translated
into English. That makes a royal mess out of it, Greek has one sound for
one character so you can't mispronounce a word nor misspell it and
meanings are far more precise. I never studied Latin and cartouches are
just pretty pictures to me so there you have the advantage. Well, I only
know a few words in Greek and you don't want to know them. (;->)

As for English, King James is far easier to understand so whomever
changed it and the American he rode in on should both be shot. (;->)
