No, I'm not angry at the Spanish either. But I do realise that the English
language has come about as a result of the mixture of languages from the
influence of several other nations, which according to history invaded
Britain at various time. The Normans, Viking, Saxons (French), Jutes, etc.
etc.
I can only Guess as to what the English language would be if it were not
influenced by those other nations. It would be purely speculation on my
part, but I would guess that it would have close to some form of Celtic
language similar to the Scots or Welsh, maybe even ancient Cornish.
Whatever we care to call it, "corruption" or "evolution" or progression if
you wish, not all change is for the better.
