Errm, can you write anything about another country when you don't live
there, let alone something that's critical - not to say highly political?

I thought it was strictly against the Albany Book of Packet Punditry.

>Our PM can, and does every day.

And of course, the reason you know that is that there just happens to be
a photographer from the (right-wing) Murdoch media enterprise to make the
best of a photo opportunity and see that he gets wide coverage.

Not pre-planned of course. A pure co-incidence that the happy snapper
was walking down the street and yo - there goes the PM! (It's called
"spin" Bob).

That's not to say that JH doesn't go jogging every day.

I wouldn't know, because I don't live there.

But you're right of course, there are a darn sight less people gunning
for John Howard than for Dubya, and JH does come across as an ordinary
Joe. I know he's not everybody's cup of tea, but I'm quite a fan of his.

That probably means you'll slag me off for giving you PM the 'EBT seal of
approval, but you must excuse our envy that you've got a solid guy at the
helm.

From my perspective he always seems to say what he means, and to mean what
he says. He never looks shifty, doesn't have to search for the right
words, and handles controversial issues such as racism and immigration
really well.

In my humble opinion of course.

He'll leave a much better legacy when he retires from Office than Blair.

Best wishes
