Yes I have heard that one before, Warren,but criminals don't go around
mass murdering innocent students in classrooms either, and that has
occurred more than once in your country.We got rid of guns after a crazy
loon shot 30 or so innocent people having morning tea in a cafe. Let me
ask you a question,Warren. With your right to bear arms how many
Presidents, not to mention other prominent statesmen, have been gunned
down? Four Presidents? Plus a number of others? Can your President go for
a morning jog along the streets of Washington, or any other of your cities
for that matter? Our PM can, and does every day.
I was in conversation with one of your countrymen on the Net one night and
he said,"I need my gun in case the Government does something I don't agree
with." Great reason for bearing arms, Warren.
I know your NRMA is a powerful political lobby but it is time they were
challenged before another lunatic gets loose in a school.
You can't cover all bases but there is solution that might save a lot of
innocent lives. While a lunatic can go into a gun shop and buy a lethal
weapon, no questions asked, there will continue to be a problem.
