Lawrie, G4WSN asked:-

"Could someone please advise me if there is a file size limit in Windows
XP
like there is in Win98 ie Fat32 discs 4GB which is about 17 mins of
video."

Lawrie is correct that there is an absolute file size limit of 4GB on
FAT32 discs. If you have a system with FAT32 and upgrade to Windows 2000
or XP, you will still have FAT32 disks with the 4GB file size limit. You
can convert the discs to NTFS after you have upgraded, or you can choose
to do a clean installation of Windows 2000 or XP, and then reinstall all
of your software.

If you choose to do an upgrade, you will quite possibly be presented with
a list of programs you should uninstall before continuing with the
upgrade. Some of these cqan be reinstalled after the upgrade. For the
others, you will need to get a newer version that works with the new OS.
