Hi,

I was asked recently when mentioning the Glen Miller Centenary about Anne
Shelton and any other info about her.

There is an official website with small sound clips at www.anne-shelton.co.uk/
along with pictures and biography.

OK, some items leave much to be desired in quality but at least someone is
making an effort to keep alive such information.

For those without internet access, briefly...........

Anne Shelton born Patricia Sibley in Dulwich, London 10th November 1928.

Died in her sleep 31st July 1994.

Buried in family grave at Brenchley Gardens, South East London.

Last performance 27th July 1994 at Buckingham Palace for the Not Forgotten
Association.

Incidentally, she was expected to have flown with Glen Miller on his tragic
flight to France when his plane was lost, but due to other commitments she
cancelled the arrangement.

She appeared in four films during the 40's and 50's and sang in the film
"Yanks" in 1979.
