Hi Pete and all,
I had no idea Von Ryan's Express had anything to do with historical fact,
maybe that's why I enjoy it so much. Frank Sinatra along with several others
were superb, some of those close calls are nail biters. I've always wondered
where they got the tools to take up rails behind the train to repair bomb
damaged track ahead or how the spikes held fast with ties blown to splinters
but hey, it's a movie.
