Hi Ian and whomever,
Thanks for poking my memory, now it all settles in. Natasha Fatale was
Garbo with a fake Russian accent and the voice was that "I want to be
alone" moan. June Foray did quite a number of voices and was very good at
them, Rocky Squirrel was a total contrast and if I remember right Wilma
Flintstone was almost a perfect Alice Kramden (Audrey Meadows) of The
Honeymooners which inspired Flintstones and several others.
Marlena Dietrich was another classic, I saw a few of her films and yeah,
another classic femme fatale. She took some heat for her association with
Hitler but IMO most unfairly, I had friends in the Pagans MC but at least
nobody thought of me as an outlaw biker. If you saw Blazing Saddles I'm
sure you recognized Madeline Kahn as Lili von Shtupp, the "Teutonic Titwillow"
who was Dietrich to a T. BTW she did a LOUSY German accent.
