Hey Kapt. Warren. I found the place to get the copy of the movie
"Citizens Band". Also some comments about it, and who is who in
the flick. One theme they followed actually happened in the US
Midwest, with an organization called "Master Control". Never guess
who they caught in the end? In the movie, as in the actual event,
the operator watched his radio equipment, coax, antenna and part of
the tower disappear down the street behind a tow truck. Others
also found after a raid a big "MC" spelled out with antenna parts
on their front lawns.

Anyhow, I rank it right up there with "Frequency" which I enjoyed
and laughed at, and acknowledged as being a ancient dinosaur, in
respect to ham radio.

As a side "tibit" I met my new cottagers up from the city to clean
up the place, and I loaned them some tools to cut down some brush.
In the course of our chat they wondered about the tower and the
skyhooks up there...so I said "Ham Radio". Wierd looks followed,
and I said Amateur Radio...still no understanding. Puzzled looks
so I tired saying it was a "hobby" and applied the ham radio
and Amateur radio as being a hobby....but still NO register.
Couldn't believe it! Oh well...just a tibit...nothing conversation
but I guess a bean for the pot on what other hams have said when
explaining their antennas on the car or at home.

Gotta run ... Rusty is waiting with his life jacket to head down
for a little marine activity. He loves floating about in the
lake, and meeting the people there...heee heee ;)

ttfn
