My Name is T.K.L.Pearce known by my secong name Keith
I am tracing back my family, the spelling of whick keeps changing,
I think we have got back to the 1600s, but the only certainty
is my great-great grandfather, Richard Pearce who was Baptised
1800 at Leintwardine,Hereford,UK.He married Sarah Richards on
15 May 1828 and died in1883.His mother was Elizabeth Pierce (unmarried)
The family appears to have lived around North Hereford and Shropshire.During
the earlier years it appears that every village/town in the district
had large families of Pearces/Pierces, some of these were related
and some not. They were mostly agricultural labourers and servants. In
later years some of the men left the villages to go to the new
indutrial jobs in South Wales and the West Midlands, also I am
led to believe one or two emigrated to the USA.
If there is anyone reading this thinks they are related to me
or recognises the migration pattern discribed above, would they
please contact me on ZL1BSG@ZL1AB#11.NZL.OC.
