24/04/2003: R1ANF/mm (Oleg and Alex) will have their final QSO from the
research vessel "Professor Multanovsky" tomorrow, Thursday the 24th of
April, 2003, at 17:00 UTC on 14275 kHz. This is a good chance for all people
who would like to express their thanks to our great DXpeditioners for their
great efforts to activate new WABA for us this season. [Tnx DL5EBE]
26/04/2003: Look for Glen, NK1N/p, to be QRV April 26th (17:00 - 22:00 UTC)
and April 27th (12:00 - 1600 UTC) from Avery Point Lightouse (USA-023),
Connecticut. The lighthouse is located at Avery Point, Groton, New London
Harbor, Connecticut (New London County, Loc FN31xh). Operation will mainly
be 40 and 20 meter SSB, with some CW. Glen will also check the other bands
for conditions. QSL via NK1N (Glen S Johnstone, 555 Kappock St 16A,
Riverdale, NY 10463 USA) with SASE / SAE + postage. [Tnx NK1N]
27/04/2003: Look for Daniele, IZ1DFK/p, to be QRV April 27th from the Fort
of Tortagna (DCI reference SV-051 for the Italian Castles Award). Operation
will be on 40 and 20 meter SSB. Forte della Tortagna is located in the
Region of Liguria, Province of Savona (SV), Grid JN44. QSL via home call,

09/05/2003: PY7AA/p will activate the Ponta de Pedras (PE) Lighthouse (DFB
reference PE-03 for the Brazilian Lighthouse Award, Grid HI22) May 9th to
11th. Operation will be on 40 through 6 meters, SSB and CW. A special QSL
card will be issued to all contacts. QSL via the bureau to PY7AA. [Tnx

31/05/2003: Slight change in plans ... Boro, 9A3KB/p, and Den, 9A3FO/p, as
members of the IOCAGroup (The Islands of Croatia Activators Group) and the
CTC (The Croatian Telegraphy Club), are planning to be active from five
Croatian islands, in the EU-136 group, between May 31st and June 4th. The
first will be the island of Sveti Marko (IOCA CI-117) May 31st. May 31st to
June 1st, they will be QRV from Krk Island (CI-046) and Voscica lighthouse
(CLH 188, Loc: JN75HF); June 2nd and 3rd from Susak Island (CI-108) and
Garba Lighthouse (WLHA LH-0444, CLH-031, Loc: JN74DM); June 3rd from Losinj
Island (CI-058); June 3rd and 4th from Cres Island (CI-012, Grid JN74). Look
for them on 80 through 10 meters, CW only. QSL's via the individual's home

31/05/2003: Clube Radioamadores do Entroncamento will be QRV May 31st,
using the special call CS7AL, from the Castel Alcanede (DCFP reference
C-112, DMHP reference SR-012 and DMP reference 1416, Grid IM59) for the
Portuguese Castles Award. Operation will be on 40 and 20 meter SSB. Castel
Alcanede is located in the Province of Ribatejo. QSL via CT1BXE, direct or
