17/04/2003:  COMMEMORATIVE DXEXPEDITION TO WALDEGRAVE ISLAND EAST (PART OF
THE SOUTH AUSTRALIA STATE WEST CENTRE UNACTIVATED IOTA GROUP) OC-NEW.
Tom Marlowe VK3ZZ, Peter Forbes VK3QI, Keith Proctor VK3FT and Jack Bramham
VK3WWW with on-shore "pilot" David McAulay VK3EW will be active from
Waldegrave Island East from the 17th - 22nd April 2003 using the special
call of VI5WCP. This will be celebrating the historical naming of the island
by Matthew Flinders during his coastal exploration of 1802/03.
A special bicentenary commemorative QSL card will be prepared to celebrate
this historical event.
We will be active on all bands except 160m, both phone and cw.
QSL will be direct to VK3ZZ, P.O. Box 368, Leongatha, Victoria 3953,
Australia, with a self-addressed envelope plus sufficient return postage,
or, via the bureau. Direct QSL cards not conforming to the above will be

19/04/2003:  Look for YC4FIJ/p to be QRV from Utan Island (OC-241) between
April 19th and 21st. Qsl via YC9BU, SAE + IRC's only (Note: do not send $$ -
will be stolen in YB-land post office). [Tnx DE0MST]

25/04/2003:  A special event station signing CS5E will be active April 25th
from Cabo Raso Lighthouse - reference POR-011. It will be also valid also
for Portuguese Lighthouses Award - reference DFP FES04, and Portuguese
Castles and Fortresses Award - reference DCFP F141 - Forte de São Brßs. WW
Loc: IM58. Activity will be on 20, 15 and 10 meter, SSB. QSL via qrz.com or
bureau. Look for them near the World Lighthouse Frequencies. Suggested SSB
freqs (+/- 20 kc): 14.270, 21.370 and 28.370 MHz. [Tnx CT1END]

15/06/2003:  Look for 8A9R to be QRV from Rote Island (OC-241, WW Loc: PH19)
in the middle of June, 2003. This will be a multi operator and multi band
operation, with YC9BU (Kadek) as one of the operators and also the QSL
manager. The team will be operating near an old lighthouse on Rote Island,
which will be submitted for World Lighthouse Award acceptance. Further
