A better solution is to use flexnet.
Its adaptive parameters makes it easy to setup.
To use kiss and dama is often not very good.
But tfx2.8 and tfpcx2.71 which are based on tf2.7 have dama support.

For baycom and most other hardwares is flexnet the best packet driver.

And also in other situations to avoid "the hidden station sysdrome".
All uses can use a packet driver that supports dama!
But of cause a node that can be dama master is also requird, like the
flexnet node or thenetnode.
