While I was reading about the P-51D, I was thinking about
my neighbour Charles Burbank in Shelburne Ontario who
had a Spit in working order. He was a airline pilot
for Air Canada and found the plane in the East and had
it brought back to canada. By now I think it might
have a home in the Historic Plane Collection in Hamilton
but I am not sure ... All I know is it used to fly over
house rather low ... and of course it came equipped...but
no guns just a button on the yoke.
Same system as seen on "12 Oclok High" with the throat
mic, as opposed to the ptt in the oxygen mask.

Black Sheep...I watched with Charles. We liked it as it
was closely to many truths as faced by pilots. Bad or
good that is what makes these shows or movies standout
as they don't fake a thing...
As I wrote and replied today, I have not located this man.
A few hams in the town next to us do remember him and
spoke to him on CB...but they have not found him yet
so we'll see as the search continues.

Mmmmm where have I heard N2OO from? FidoNet? or Packet?
When you mention old equipment on-the-air, I also like it
too, like from "Camp X" ... HYDRA with equipment supposely
from the camp which is long go and only a patch of ground
now.
Unfortunately here in Cannuckia...we don't have the community
radio stations ... we have to suffer the wrath of money
speaking and bending minds to what they see as public
opinion .... but via Internet...a lot of cannuckians are
being heard....

Given in North America the Fortress ... there is a threat from
anywhere, so imagine the sight of Andy on the beach, with
his experiments...harmless and enjoyable, and some over
anxious CD spotter with a wild imagination and you have
threat.
When the Prince of Wales was visiting here, and stayed along
the road... can you imagine the thoughts of the marine unit
when I brought the sailboat through the rocks, up to the
shore at my beach...to go home for lunch....That was so
funny...they couldn't reach me...but they sure arrived
at my house. hahahahaha ....
Right after 911.... they wanted us to report anything we
saw that was suspicious...so here comes this fellow ..onto
the beach with a shopping kart. He stops and starts to
setup, unfloding this and that...and then that might bring
forth the visions of war movies of the past, with spys
and suitcase radio for reporting back..and passing info.
When you mention Andy's trolley, it reminds me too of an
ad in the latest ad from the rad-i-o store, and one of
these all band do all...portable ham stations...just
plug in a whip and you're on-air .... WOW how easy.
Downside is most will go buy the radio, then try like
Andy to make things...and really you have to admit , he
did get a way to get his portable field day station to
where he wants to be ... as opposed to all the prep
for field day we all see .... Easy as pie to Andy
all ready sitting in the corner of the house.
To be serious ... I have been helping with a blind ham.
One of the group does his antenna.... but now it is
a seniors home or apartment ....yep NO more outdoor
antennas...so we're now looking to finding a indoor
antenna that they can not scream about ... He is an
active ham, on 80meters and ...well I'd like to see
him stay on .... So anyone reading this my email

I think it better be a disguised antenna for indoor
use ... he has a NEW HF so all band would be nice.
Thank you Warren...for the Easter Greetings...but
it does not feel like it...with the cold outside and
the frost on the window.
I have to go to an event today for my friend who owns
a store. Not looking forward with this cold.
And as I end this...the guy up north in the Ice
Fishing hut is on the radio...great sigs. I still
have not got his pic to send you, but I will send
it.
Like andrew and his trolley, this ham has done his
thing too ... only on the ice ...mmmm...wonder if
he is still married ..ahahahaha
