Sure does on my old laptop when running WSJT and decoding. It GAINS time
during the night when off then loses as much as 8 seconds during a long
session in the day.
My old lappy is slow and runs Win95. but does have many advantages too.
One major advantage, you would have to be a real fool to want to steal it.
