Hello all,
To Peter: Yes I will look at the G-QRP site when I have access to the web - I
have messed the computer up trying to install linux :-)
To W2EEW: You're missing the point, as far as I'm concerned. I'm not interested
in working the world, or chasing DX or collecting awards, or any of those macho
things. I don't care *who* I work, so long as they're interesting, or the
circumstances of the QSO are interesting (e.g. a funny man from Kent stuck
in estuarine mud, pushing a shopping trolley with a 30ft whip antenna and 2
watts!). Using QRP is like doing great photgraphy with a box Brownie. It takes
real skill. Pushing 2kw and stamping all over everyone takes no skill. Building
a QRP rig takes skill. Buying a jap-box requires no skill. Buying a 60ft tower
and a 10 element 14MHz yagi takes no skill, only money.
It takes all sorts to make a world. You stick to your QRO, and I'll use my QRP.
I will have equally as much fun as you, just different fun :-)
73, Paula
