When I bought a New Nissan Patrol many years ago, the interference from the
alternator regulator had to be heard to be believed. It even produced S9+
on 2m. It was a mechanical regulator that defied all attempts to shut it
up, despite every trick in the book. But I won in the end, I manufactured a
solid state regulator and that did the trick.
